Position Overview:

Erewhon is looking for an experienced Data Analyst who is passionate about using insights, business intelligence, and data visualization to drive growth. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will be the “Insights Hub” for Erewhon and responsible for analyzing performance trends, designing and developing reports and dashboards, and identifying data patterns.

The role will work cross-functionally with all Department Leads at Erewhon to recommend insights to drive performance improvements across the business.  It requires a deep understanding of connecting raw data to business insights, as well as strong communication and storytelling skills.  If you love living in data and get excited about building a data-driven culture at a leading food and retail brand, come join the team!

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and identify patterns to help develop growth strategies and tactics
  • Design and develop reports and dashboards, primarily using PowerBI, to monitor growth KPIs and to surface data insights
  • Conduct data discovery and exploratory analysis to uncover new opportunities
  • Provide actionable data insights for all Department Leads
  • Evaluate effectiveness of marketing campaigns, communicate results and recommendations
  • Document business requirements and work with data engineering to develop data requirements
  • Effectively present and communicate data insights and analytics to business teams.
  • Extract actionable insights from the available first and third party data to identify new opportunities.
  • Consolidate findings and summarize analytical insights to be shared with business stakeholders.
  • Identify and structure ad-hoc analyses, working with business and development teams, to address high priority business problems and urgent requests
  • Conduct data analysis to support development of customer cohorts, personas, and segmentation.

The Ideal Candidate:

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, or related field or an MBA
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics and/or BI Data insights roles (preferably in retail, direct-to-consumer or e-commerce companies)
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Hands-on experience working with structured data sets
  • Advanced data visualization skills and hands-on experience with PowerBI
  • Comfortable navigating large datasets, acquiring and cleansing data from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency with at least one of the programming languages, such as R, Python or SQL.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital analytics and experience with Google Analytics, Data Studio
  • Ability to communicate complex data and analytics concepts and results in clear, concise, and accurate ways at an executive level, excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to solve problems and thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment
  • Willing to work full-time in an office environment in Los Angeles
